Sew four great projects over four weeks while learning how to use a sewing machine. You will make a simple tote bag, toiletry bag with zipper, bowl cozy and table runner (or choose your own final project).
Skills learned in this class include:
*Basic use of a sewing machine (including troubleshooting)
*How to use a rotary cutter and ruler
*Reading a pattern
*Inserting a zipper
*Using basic sewing stitches
This class is also supportive of sewists who haven't sewn in a while and want to get back into sewing. Machines are available for use or bring your own.
Materials for class should be purchased by the participants. A list of supplies is attached. Participants receive a 10% discount on all supplies purchased for class.

Requirements: | All materials are subject to a class discount of 10%. We have the supplies you will need, or you can bring your own pins, clips, seam ripper, marking pen, fabric scissors and rotary cutter. Let us know if you will need to use a machine from our studio. There is a $1.00 fee for the bobbin. For the first project, the simple tote, participants will need: 3/4 yard of fabric for the exterior, 3/4 yard of coordinating fabric for the interior, and matching thread. |
