Father's day Apron Class



Youth participants will spend 2 hours learning to make an apron fit for their Dad to give as a gift for Father's day.

Basic sewing skills are needed. (This includes threading a machine, bobbin placement, and sewing straight lines.)

You child will learn how to cut the fabric using a pattern while transferring the markings, press a hem, sew ties to secure the apron at the neck and waistline and sew on a pocket.

If materials are purchased in the store, you will receive a 10% class discount.



Skill Level: Beginner
Skill Details: Participants should be able to operate a machine, thread a machine and make a bobbin, sew straight lines, back stitch, stop and pivot, and sew curves.
Materials Included: Instruction and pattern
Requirements: A sewing machine if you have one (or we have one you can use) 1 yard of a fun cotton fabric (for main part of apron) 1 yard coordinating fabric (for apron lining, ties and pocket) Thread to match Basic sewing supplies: Fabric scissors, pins or clips, seam ripper, washable marking pen
